President Obama’s Findings of the 60-Day Online Security Review
Friday, May 29th, 2009Today President Obama made an announcement regarding the findings of the 60-day review of the nation’s online security systems (.pdf document) and its recommendations for improvement.
As a contributor to the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) report for the Obama Administration, “Cybersecurity Recommendations for the 44th Presidency”, I highly supported the key recommendation for a stronger, more collaborative public-private partnership. Technology has certainly changed our world and most are using it for good, though some not. At a national level, the United States needs to break through the tough challenges associated with public-private partnerships to help preserve national and economic interests for both sides. At the international level, we are all interconnected and should demand more of ourselves as we seek common ground.
